Singer Bryan Adams cancelled a concert in Mississippi, North Carolina, USA, because of a law they passed this week which allows discrimination against LGBT people. The law says that businesses or churches can refuse to serve gay or lesbian people and also discriminates against people who are transgender.

Bryan Adams made a statement, saying he, "Could not, in good conscience, perform in a state where certain people are being denied their rights due to their sexual orientation". He says he found it, "Incomprehensible that LGBT citizens are bring discriminated against... hopefully Mississippi will right itself and I can come back and perform to all of my may fans."

Singer Bruce Springsteen also cancelled a concert in Mississippi this week to show his opposition to the new law.
