http://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/apr/24/leicester-riyad-mahrez-pfa-player-of-the-year

Riyad Mahrez, Leicester City Forward, has won the PFA (Professional Football Association) player of the year 2016. Maharez has scored 17 goals and made 11 assists in 34 league games. He also plays for the Algerian national team.

Riyad says he would not have won the award without his team mates; "All the credit is for them, seriously. And my manager and the staff. Without them I wouldn't receive this award and I wouldn't score. It's the team spirit. I want to dedicate it to them."

Riyad is Arabic and was born in France. He is Muslim and married his English girlfriend in 2015.
